After successfully competing in N3 in the Mintex National Rally Championship, TSL Motorsport was approached by Loctite/Teroson to run one of Australia's leading drivers, Marty Beckton, in the British Rally Championship. The obvious choice of car was the Subaru. To become totally familiar with the engine, transmission and suspension as quickly as possible, we chose to build our own car - and our best result in 1999 was 7th overall on the Rally of Scotland, winning us Best Independent Team and Best International Team.

Our rallying success led us - inevitably! - to look at road-going cars, and apply the skills and knowledge acquired from our rallying experiences. We did our homework and didn't really like what we found. Wildly exaggerated claims of performance gains, spurious quality of products and astronomical prices apparently abound.

You wouldn't touch a SUBARU without the right history ……..so why make an exception for your specialist??
These days, thanks to slick websites and glossy ads….. even the smallest operation can give itself a racy image and sell you parts from home.
